The Challenge
The user experience department of the insurance company Humana wanted to strengthen their internal capabilities to develop creative solutions and better shape products around the member’s needs. The project scope was to design a toolkit collecting a series of user-centered activities and design principles to consolidate the team know-how.
Toolkit Structure
The content is organized around 4 stages of the design process: Immersion collects preliminary activities for team building and current state analysis; Discovery includes different types of research methods and early ideation activities; Design outlines approaches to ideation and production tools for digital products; Development is a list of methods to plan and strategize for product launch and future iterations. It is based on a “learning by doing approach”, each tool contains worksheet templates for collaborative work sessions, use cases and suggested next steps.
